 *  "Limited Lifetime" warranty applies for the typical expected lifespan of the product, subject to parts availability. This warranty is valid in North America only.

Limitations

Saris warrants your product to be free of any defects in material or workmanship from the date of first purchase from an authorized retailer. This warranty does not apply to parts that have been worn out through normal use or damaged through misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorized modification. Where applicable, incidental and consequential damages are not covered, and there are no other warranties, expressed or implied. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only. Retain your receipt as proof of purchase.

The warranties set forth hereunder are in lieu of and exclude all other warranties not expressly set forth herein, whether expressed or implied by operation of law or otherwise. Other than as set forth above, Saris makes no warranty, whether express, implied or statutory, with respect to any product, including, but not limited to, warranties of reliability, merchantability fitness for a particular purpose, or those arising from any course of performance, dealing, usage or trade.

Saris shall not be liable for incidental or consequential losses, damages, or expenses in connection with its products. Saris's liability hereunder is expressly limited to the replacement of goods not complying with this warranty or, at Saris’s election, to the repayment of an amount of the purchase price of the product in question. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of implied warranties or incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.

EXCLUSIONS

This Limited Warranty applies to Saris products that are purchased from an authorized Saris dealer. IF THIS PRODUCT WAS PURCHASED FROM ANY OTHER SOURCE, THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND THIS PRODUCT IS SOLD STRICTLY “AS IS” AND “WITH ALL FAULTS.” SARIS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL AND/OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES. Some states and provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you

The following are excluded from coverage of this warranty:

  • If the products were not purchased from an authorized retailer
  • If consumer does not comply with all warnings, cautions, or instructions listed in the Owner’s Manual product labels, packaging, and inserts, or any other communications to consumer at point of purchase 
  • Damage due to impact or collision
  • Damage to cradles and strap due to improper arm placement
  • Damage arising from use of the rack for objects other than a bicycle
  • Paint damage, such as chipping, cracking, or fading
  • Rust is wear and tear and is preventable with rack maintenance
  • Weather impact (UV, salt air/water)
  • Damage to mounting surface
  • Damage or loss resulting from failure to replace or maintain consumable items
  • Failure to comply withRecommended Rack Maintenance
  • Consumable Items, including but not limited to:
    • Arm and wheel tray adjustment knobs
    • Frame and wheel straps
    • Vehicle attachment straps
    • Molded wheel trays
    • Frame cradles
    • Threaded assemblies
    • Ratcheting assemblies

Manufacturing defects are most likely to be identified on new products or early in the products’ lifespan. Each warranty claim is unique, and it is solely up to Saris to determine if a product can be covered by the limited lifetime warranty due to defects, or if the product has suffered wear and tear.

Any product or part thereof found to be defective within the term as set forth above will be replaced without charge provided that: (1) its failure resulted from a defect in material or workmanship and not from normal wear and tear expected in the use of the product; (2) the product was not abused, misused, improperly assembled, improperly maintained or damaged by accident or installation of parts or accessories not originally intended or compatible with the racks as originally sold, (3) there was no failure to follow instructions or warnings in the Owner's Manual, Recommended Rack Maintenance, product labels, packaging, and inserts, or any other communications to consumer at point of purchase; (4) no alterations or modifications were made; and (5) the product or part is delivered, freight prepaid, to Saris or an authorized service center.

First Things First

Framesets (frame and rigid fork), main frame, and full suspension swing arms for the lifetime of the original owner
Bontrager wheels with carbon rims

2 Years
Apparel
Parts and accessories
Rear suspension linkage components, including bearings, rocker link, and accompanying hardware and components
Bontrager wheels with alloy rims
Paint and decals

Subsequent Ownership
Subsequent owners (second or later) are entitled to a 3 year warranty from the date of purchase from the retailer on the Trek frame and Trek fork. This does not include items such as wheels, suspension forks, drive train components, etc. Proof of original purchase is required.

This Warranty Does Not Cover
Normal wear and tear
Improper assembly
Corrosion
Improper maintenance
Installation of components, parts, or accessories not originally intended for or compatible with the bicycle as sold
Damage or failure due to accident, misuse, abuse, or neglect
Labor charges for part replacement or changeover
Non-proprietary products (any other original part or component) covered by the original manufacturer’s warranty
Cosmetic scratches or non-structural blemishes on Bontrager carbon rims or wheels

This warranty applies to:
• All model year 2020 and newer bicycles
• Parts and accessories purchased after August 1, 2019.

Any products not specifically included above are omitted, but may be included in the 2012-2019 Trek Care Limited Warranty. Click here for details.

This warranty is void in its entirety by any modification of the frame, fork, or components. This warranty is expressly limited to the repair or replacement of a defective item at the manufacturer’s discretion. This warranty extends from the original date of purchase. Trek and Electra are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages unless prohibited by state law. Claims made outside the country of original purchase may be subject to fees and additional restrictions. Warranty duration and detail may vary by country. The English version of the warranty shall prevail.

Trek Carbon Care
Sometimes accidents happen. We know how much you love your Trek bike, and understand the burden of having to replace a non-warranty damaged bike frame or part. That's why we provide the Trek Carbon Care Program. This program can be used to obtain a discount on a replacement frame or component in the case of non-warranty damage.

All certified pre-owned Trek products from Red Barn Refresh are covered under the 30-Day Unconditional Guarantee. If for any reason you’re not satisfied with your purchase, return the item within 30 days for a full refund. Think of it as a 30-day test ride.

Lifetime Warranty

BIKE MAINTENANCE: ESSENTIAL GUIDELINES

Regularly Clean Your Bike: Wipe down the frame and components after each ride to prevent dirt buildup & corossion.

Lubricating the Chain: Apply bike-specific lubricant to keep the chain running smoothly and prevent wear.

Tire Pressure: Inspect and inflate your tires to the recommended PSI before each ride for optimal performance.

Brake Evaluation: Ensure your brakes are responsive and the pads are not worn down. Adjust or replace as needed.
